On-Arrival Training in Graz

   Du mardi 13 au jeudi 15 Mars, Rita et moi avons suivi notre "formation à l'arrivée".
   From Tuesday,13th to Thursday,15th March, Rita et I assisted to our "on-arrival training".

   C'était juste un peu en dehors de Graz (arrêt Tram "Mariatrost", 1/2 h du centre-ville), à côté d'une superbe église, et de la forêt...
   It was in the surroundings of Graz (Trolley line : "Mariatrost" stop, 1/2 h from the city-center), nearby a great church, and the forest...

                  

    Nous étions logé dans un établissement d'accueil de séminaires (+/- religieux), au mobilier très moderne (un peu trop à mon goût, mais c'était quand même rigolo de passer 2-3 jours dans ce genre de "luxe"), et avec une super déco : peintures, sculptures,... souvent sans lien avec l'Eglise, superbe !
    We were in a place welcoming seminars (+/- religious), with a very modern design inside (a little bit to much for my taste, but it was funny to spend 2-3 days living in this kind of "luxury"), and with a great decor : paintings, sculptures,... often without any link with the Church, superb !

             

   "Nous" ? 11 volontaires SVE d'un peu partout (Belgique, Angleterre, Hongrie, Hollande, Allemagne, Turquie !,...) + Rita et moi + 2 formateurs et un responsable SVE.
  "We" ? 11 EVS volunteers from a little bit all over Europe (Belgium, England, Hungary, the Nederlands, Germany, Turquey !,...) + Rita and I + 2 trainers and a responsible for the EVS program.

   Les activités de cet On-Arrival Training (souvent loufoques, mais tellement rigolotes) nous ont permis de rencontrer d'autres jeunes en SVE dans le pays, de vérifier et conforter notre connaissance des droits et devoirs du Volontaire et de l'Organisation d'Accueil, de faire le point sur les différences entre nos rêves avant de partir et la réalité sur place,...
   The activities during this On-Arrival Training (often crazy, but so funny) allowed us to meet some other youngsters doing their EVS in Austria, to verify and confort our knowledges about the rights and duties of the Volunteer and the Hosting-organisation, to have a look on the differences between our dreams before our departure and the reality once here,...

... mais aussi de visiter Graz, de découvrir un jeu de carte complètement fou (le Barnga), de découvrir les à-priori sur nos pays d'origine (La France c'est à la fois les croissants et les grenouilles, Paris et les prés verts de Normandie, la Tour-Eiffel et Notre-Dame, Rousseau / Chirac et Zidane, "Amélie Poulain" et les fromages, Napoléon et le Tour de France => Y'a pas grand chose qui me parle la dedans... mis à part Rousseau et les fromages !  ;-D ), d'apprendre quelques astuces pour voyager et vivre à moindre frais (vive la "Vorteilscard" pour avoir des tickets de train demi-tarif en Autriche, les lignes de bus Eurolines pour aller plus loin pour pas trop cher, le serveur "Bob" pour téléphoner portable à un prix inimaginablement bas,... !!), et encore plein d'autres choses sympas !
... but also to visit Graz, to play a totally crazy game (the Barnga), to discover pre-idees on our countries (and I found out that France is in the same time : "croissants" and frogs, Paris and the green fields in Normandie, the Eiffel-tour and  the Notre-Dame church, Rousseau / Chirac and Zidane, "Amélie Poulain" and cheases, Napoléon and the Tour de France => it's not really like that that I see my country... despite Rousseau and cheases !  ;-D ), to learn some tricks for travelling and living at lower cost (the "Vorteilscard" is wonderful for having half-price train-in Austria, the Eurolines bus lines are great for going further for a nice cost, The serveur "Bob" for moblie phones to call with an incredibly low price,... !!), and also lots of other nice things !

   Et surtout : y'avait une super ambiance !!!
   And over all : there was a great ambience !!!

MAIS POURQUOI EST-CE QUE C'ETAIT SI COURT ???!!
BUT WHY WAS IT SO SHORT ???!!
